The old inn
A strong story, an incredible location, and top-quality food. Villa Gallina has it all and is certainly worth a visit. The restaurant was built in 1852 as a “convenience and catering establishment” and at that time served the local residents and travellers on the old main road from Copenhagen to Næstved.
Today, the venue serves as both an à la carte restaurant and a function venue, boasting one of Denmark’s most beautiful locations. From the large terrace in front of the stunning timber-framed house, you can enjoy views of the beautiful lake and surrounding forest. Villa Gallina is leased to the married couple Lise and Nicholas Dark, who serve quality food with inspiration from traditional Danish, Italian, and French cuisine.
